I'm so glad I was born in Minnesota, because no matter which season is coming next, I look forward to the change:  the change in clothing I wear, the change in the activities I do, the change in the foods I eat.   The seasons are all good, but the change is the best!    Looking toward this fall is no different.    There are so many beautiful colors with which to accent our homes.  Candles and their sublte light return to our daily rituals.  And rich, home cooking with soups, roasts, squash and potatoes are mainstays in our diets and the comfort food we look foward to each day.    I hope this autumn rewards you with long, Indian summer days, cool football evenings, and a chance to really reflect on how lucky we are to live here in the lake country!

News from the Goose:

DeCIO PASTA-- One of our food sales representatives discovered this delicious pasta hidden in the farmers' markets of Arizona.   She convinced the makers to offer their  famous pasta to a broader market, and are we glad they did!  The Tomato Basil & Garlic Linguine is delicious.  The Sweet Potato Fettucine is delightfully unique.  The Wild Mushroom Linguine is a staff favorite and described as 'to die for.'    Gather yours to add a rich twist to your menus!

WILDLY DELICIOUS Gourmet Foods-- compotes to accompany your favorite cheese.   This evening settle in with your favorite glass of wine, a bit of cheese, and these tempting compotes within which to dip your cheese:  Fig Apple Walnut  or Cranberry Port Pecan.    They add that unexpected extra flavor that is simply divine.  Nothing could be easier.  Simply spoon a little into a pretty cup, and dip away!

MANTLE TABLE AND CENTERPIECE LIGHTING:   As autumn evenings arrive, light the night simply with tealights or votives in these beautiful multiple light candleholders.  Available in a variety of styles, these candleholders are stunning on a mantle, on a deck or patio table, or on a sideboard or sofa table, or  for a table centerpiece (several are raised and will transition beautifully into the holidays with evergreen boughs arranged underneath).

MERCURY GLASS:  Votives, candleholders and ornaments.  These shimmering silvery accents can quickly update your home's decor.  Perfect placed in front of a mirror, arranged on a table or shelf, gathered in an eclectic bowl, or set simply by themselves, mercury glass is the look for fall and winter, and it blends easily with your home.

AROMATHERAPHY -- it REALLY works!   We still are amazed by the number of folks coming back with wonderful stories of how their snoring has ended, or seriously subsided ( use Marjoram), or how the Asian Beetles are no longer infesting their home (use Patchouli), and even how migraines have eased or gone entirely away (use Rosemary).     We're selling lots of Pine and Eucalyptus now as summer colds, allergies, and sinus infections bother people.     All natural, essential oils, use these jars of fragrance like an air freshener-- simply open them and leave them on your nightstand or desk.

Jewelry -- Love nature and the natural look?  The next time you're in take a look at our newest jewelry line:  subtle colors, patterns of leaves done in glass, and blended with semi precious stones.   Just lovely. Simple.  Understated beauty.

And we've so much more to share....  Our new freight keeps arriving everyday, and we're enjoyig getting ready for the holiday season.  For some reason, it's so much easier to enjoy the holidays, when I get ready early:  I love to take time buying gifts for my family and friends, and slowly transitioning my home's decor to the holidays.   Now if I could only get my holiday cards done early!   We'll gladly help you get ready to; our holiday gift-wrap is waiting! and we're starting holiday gift basket orders now.

Have a wonderful fall, and we hope to see you often!    Thank you sincerely for your business.  We genuinely appreciate it!
